Enable the intended movement feature
- Hold L2 + Options on PlayStation, or LT + Menu on Xbox, to open the Zen menu. Release L2 / LT after opening it so navigation and editing are available.
- Choose MOVEMENT with D-pad Left / Right, enter with Cross / A, then browse to the named setting.
- Use D-pad Up / Down to change the setting. The checked V6 saves these device choices; a changed My Ozark profile still needs its normal installation step.
METER DUNK is an OFF / ON setting; OFF is the checked reference default. It is separate from the standing OneTap hold, Button Shooting timers and manual Tempo Lock transition.
There is no public Meter Dunk MS field in this V6 reference. Do not use SET TIME, FADE MS or RHYTHM TIME as an invented dunk-meter timing control.
Read the trigger and release correctly
| Stage | PlayStation | Xbox |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Hold R2 + L1 | Hold RT + LB |
| During the input | Keep L1 held while the supported trigger condition is active. | Keep LB held while the supported trigger condition is active. |
| End the scripted input | Release L1. | Release LB. |
The source requests right-stick-down output and sprint while the action is engaged. It does not inspect the on-screen dunk meter or decide the correct moment from the game image.
Use the shoulder-button release as the clear stop action. Releasing R2 / RT alone may not end the input immediately because the source briefly remembers recent trigger use. That history is an input guard, not a customer calibration value.
Start with the shot button released
A held physical Square / X, a remapped shooting input or an active shot sequence can mark the shooting engine busy. Meter Dunk waits behind that state. Begin the isolated check with the shot button released and no OneTap or rhythm sequence running.
Keep Quickstop and Custom Dribbles off while identifying the dunk input. Once the control is clear, reintroduce the settings you actually need one by one rather than testing several stick-owning sequences together.
Enabling Meter Dunk also disables the normal L1 / LB + D-pad Up environment shortcut in this source. If that shortcut stops changing the bank, check METER DUNK before assuming the environment setting is broken.
Check the input before the gameplay result
- Write down the active slot and METER DUNK setting. Select ON in MOVEMENT and close the menu.
- Release Square / X and let any current shooting or dribble action finish.
- Use R2 + L1 / RT + LB for the intended input, then release L1 / LB. Compare the same action from the same player state.
- If the input does not match, inspect the trigger, shoulder button and competing shooting owner. If the input is correct but the game action differs, record the player and game context before changing other settings.
A requested stick input is not proof that an in-game dunk will start or finish. The game controls the available action and outcome. This guide describes the V6 controller path, not a perfect-dunk preset.
Common checks
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Why does the action continue briefly after I release RT / R2? | Recent trigger input can keep its condition active. Release LB / L1 to take the explicit stop path. |
| Why does holding the shot button prevent it? | The busy-shot guard gives the shooting path priority. Test with the physical and remapped shot input released. |
| Where is the dunk timing slider? | This reference exposes the ON/OFF switch, not a dedicated Meter Dunk MS setting. |
| Why did the environment shortcut stop working? | Meter Dunk ON suppresses that L1/LB + D-pad Up shortcut. Use the menu to select the environment. |
If your installed menu differs, compare the handbook’s version with your current ERA build before applying these steps.
